Terms of Service
Last updated: April 17, 2026
These Terms govern your use of LIL (the “LIL — Listen It Later” iOS app; “LIL”, “we”, “us”), including the iOS app, the website, and all related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app or by emailing support@playlater.app.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or distribute malware.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload content that is illegal, hateful, or that you don’t have the right to share.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or credits/subscriptions without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. User content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (URLs, text, photos, audio). By submitting it, you grant LIL a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of your content.
4. Purchases, credits & subscriptions
Certain features require credits or an active subscription. All in-app purchases are processed by Apple under your Apple ID through the LIL iOS app. Prices are displayed in the purchase sheet at the time of checkout.
- Credits are consumable and applied to parse and AI-assisted actions. Monthly subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over; separately purchased top-up credits do not expire. Credits are non-refundable once consumed and have no cash value.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel an iOS subscription from your Apple ID settings; at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid auto-renewal.
- Refunds — all purchases are made through the iOS app, so refunds are handled by Apple under your Apple ID.
5. Third-party services
LIL integrates with third-party services such as Apple Music, Spotify (where supported), Google, and Last.fm. Your use of these services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. Playback of Apple Music content requires an active Apple Music subscription and the necessary authorizations on your device.
6. Service changes & availability
We are actively developing the Service. Features may be added, changed, or removed. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, impose reasonable usage limits, or require updates.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that content recognition, parsing, or metadata enrichment will be accurate or uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LISTEN LATER AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, are inactive for extended periods, or pose a security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will do so.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LIL is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local consumer-protection laws give you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the date above and — for material changes — notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Contact
Email support@playlater.app with any questions about these Terms.
